Why Teaching?

For over 20 years, I designed and decorated everything from room plans and theater sets to T-shirts and wedding cakes - all driven by an overwhelming passion to create. Now, I’m excited to pass that passion on and inspire young artists to discover their own creative spark.

Skills

Classroom & Studio

I create engaging, multimedia lesson plans that blend videos, slides, and hands-on exploration. With a strong background in mixed media, I teach a wide variety of art projects—including edible art, which gives students the unique chance to sculpt and create with edible materials. I prioritize meaningful student engagement, interacting with every learner and encouraging them as they grow in skill and confidence. I also use music and lighting to shape a positive, creative classroom atmosphere, helping students feel inspired, focused, and excited to make art.

With 13 years of experience as an award-winning cake artist and business owner, I’ve had my work and tutorials featured in international cake magazines, wedding publications, and top industry blogs. I’ve also been honored to appear on Food Network. Beyond creating custom cakes, I managed the daily operations of a thriving creative business, building strong skills in organization, planning, and professional communication.
